Michael N. Felix grew up in Prior Lake Minnesota. He holds BA and MA degrees from Mankato State College in Minnesota. He was a commissioned officer in the United States Navy.
He has worked on a farm, been a laborer on a traveling hillbilly construction company, in a pea picking plant, as a cement worker in a Laborer’s union, (still have my card somewhere..), a factory worker, a window salesman, an airport planner and numerous other variously lucrative occupations.
He has traveled around the United States and abroad, including once completely around the world. He has wandered the Louvre in Paris.
He is an expert fly fisherman who has fished the rivers of the United States and spent many years fly fishing in Belize for Bonefish and Permit.
Currently he splits his time between his home in northern Minnesota, and a winter home on a mountain in southern New Mexico. There he climbs mountains (not very tall ones..), hikes the trails, volunteers for trail work in the Gila mountains, writes great books, and plays his guitar (not very well) at open mics. (At least I did before the virus showed up..
